The Polytechnic Lodge To Visit Bucharest, Romania.
The Polytechnic Lodge, known for its very active social calendar, is set to be on the move again, this time with a trip to Bucharest, Romania.
Travelling together in September, ten members of the Lodge so far have registered to visit Bucharest in Romania for a seven night stay.
Our trip is being planned to be both Masonic and Non-Masonic. Sightseeing around Bucharest and its neighbouring area will be the main daytime events. Visiting such locations as Transylvania and Draculas’s Castle, the Dimtitre Gusti National Village, Therme Bucuresti Pools, the Slanic Prahova Salt Mine and other landmarks will keep us occupied during the day. Subject to authorities being granted by the National Grand Lodge of Romania and the United Grand Lodge of England, we hope to have a splendid time with local Romanian Freemasons in the evenings, visiting the National Grand Lodge of Romania and attending a couple of Masonic meetings.
Over the last couple of years, The Polytechnic Lodge has received several visitors from Romania to its meetings at Mark Masons Hall. It would be a dream come true if we met up with them back in their homeland. Our main guide and host for our trip will be Polytechnic Lodge’s own Brother Adrian Badea, himself a Romanian.
As mentioned many times before, the Polytechnic Lodge is far more than a lodge that meets four times a year.
