The Polytechnic Lodge goes Ghost Hunting

Very late one Saturday evening, after having a meal together, six members of The Polytechnic Lodge and our wives went on an organised ghost hunt.

There were only six tickets remaining for an organised ghost hunting event arranged by a professional ghost hunting company and The Polytechnic Lodge snapped them all up. Meeting with some forty other ghost hunters we gathered together in Bilsington Priory near Ashford in Kent at 8pm on a dark and creepy night.

For the first few hours, we were in a group of 10 people and spent time with Mediums doing séances, where active spirits moved us and twisted us in all sorts of directions in one of the old and abandoned rooms in the priory. After breaking for a most welcome cup of tea, we then regathered and joined up with paranormal investigators doing experiments in all of the abandoned and derelict rooms. We experienced table tilting, glass divination, Ouija boards,  EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena a.k.a. ghost voice) experiments, and other audio experiments using the latest ghost hunting equipment. Our group had some fascinating and unexplained results from each experiment and room.

At around midnight, we were able to go off on our own and create our own contacts which we were earlier shown by the paranormal investigators. Members of our Lodge kept together as a group and were rewarded with some amazing unexplained happenings and messages. Some quite sad.

The cold air got the better of us and at 0200 we left Bilsington Priory and headed back home with our heads racing with what we saw and heard.
