The Polytechnic Lodge Attends MetGL AGM
The Polytechnic Lodge, for the past nine years, has attended the Metropolitan Grand Lodge Annual General Meeting at Metropolitan Grand Lodge. This is the flagship event of Metropolitan Grand Lodge and is divided up into two sessions. The morning session is usually to invest those Brethren who have been honoured with Senior London Grand Rank and the afternoon session is for the main business of Metropolitan Grand Lodge.
This year, five members of The Polytechnic Lodge attended the meeting in addition to our candidate in waiting and his partner who were able to watch the morning proceedings from the balcony of The Grand Temple and join us for a spot of lunch between sessions at The Old Bank of England in Fleet Street.
The Polytechnic Lodge was delighted and proud to have been selected to form part of the small banner procession into The Grand Temple at the afternoon session of the meeting. Proudly held and paraded by our Worshipful Master, Worshipful Brother Ken Crawley, The Polytechnic Lodge banner was placed in the top row of the far east of the Temple during the meeting, gazing down on all those assembled underneath. I would like to think that our founder members of 121 years ago were looking down on us with a great deal of pride.
