The Polytechnic Lodge

In an excellent ceremony conducted in the Grand Temple of Freemasons Hall, London, Polytechnic Lodge Secretary, Worshipful Brother Ron Wainer, LGR was invested as Metropolitan Senior Grand Deacon and honoured with Senior London Grand Rank in recognition of his services to London Freemasonry.

The ceremony was conducted by the Metropolitan Deputy Grand Master Right Worshipful Brother Michael L Ward in the presence of the Most Worshipful Pro Grand Master Peter Geoffrey Lowndes and many other distinguished brethren.  As our Grand Master is a member of the royal family, it is customary to appoint a Pro Grand Master who fills the role of the Grand Master when he is not available due to his royal duties.

Also present at the investiture meeting attending from the Polytechnic Lodge supporting Worshipful Brother Ron was our Worshipful Master Worshipful Brother W.J. Dadswell, LGR, LGCR, together with our Metropolitan Visiting Officer Worshipful Brother Peter Jacobs, and Worshipful Brothers Steve Biggs, Rod Evans, Adam Gale, Jim Fleming Michael Mulqueen and Brother George Bregasi.

Luncheon was served in the Grand Ballroom of the New Connaught Rooms where some 500 Freemasons and their guests dined during a break in the day’s proceedings.
