Polytechnic Lodge hosts members from the Cavalerii Luminii Lodge No. 243 Bucharest, Romania

The Polytechnic Lodge in London recently had the great pleasure of hosting Worshipful Master Brother Alexandru Vlaston and ten distinguished members of Cavalerii Luminii Lodge No. 243 from the National Grand Lodge of Romania. This visit, organized by Brother Adrian Badea and Worshipful Brother Ron Wainer, PGStdB, from the Polytechnic Lodge, proved to be an unforgettable experience and a testament to the strength of Masonic brotherhood across borders.

The trip began with a fascinating tour of the Grand Temple at United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE), where Brother Vinicius Thomasi, the Visitor Experience Officer from the UGLE, warmly welcomed the visitors. The group had the opportunity to explore the stunning Grand Temple, the Museum, and the Freemasons’ Hall shop. The tour ended in a lively and convivial gathering at the Freemasons’ Hall bar, where everyone enjoyed a drink and continued the fellowship.

The following afternoon, the group attended the regular meeting of the Polytechnic Lodge at Freemasons’ Hall. During this special meeting, the visitors had the honor of witnessing a Raising and Passing ceremony, which showcased both lodges’ deep respect for Masonic traditions and rituals. The meeting concluded with a spirited and lively Festive Board, where bonds of friendship were further strengthened, and the exchange of gifts added a personal touch to the occasion.

One of the highlights of the evening was a delightful surprise brought by the members of Cavalerii Luminii Lodge: several bottles of Palinca, a traditional Romanian plum brandy. The spirit of Masonic hospitality and brotherly love was in full swing as the Palinca was enthusiastically sampled by everyone present, adding an extra touch of warmth and camaraderie to the evening.

Worshipful Brother Alexandru Vlaston expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Polytechnic Lodge for the warm welcome, the generous gifts, and the unforgettable experience. He emphasized that the visit was a wonderful opportunity to share such a memorable evening in the true spirit of Freemasonry. The camaraderie displayed during their time in London further strengthened the connection between our two lodges, and both parties are eager to continue nurturing this newfound bond.

As we look back on this wonderful visit, we are reminded that this is only the beginning of a lasting and meaningful relationship between the Polytechnic Lodge and Cavalerii Luminii Lodge No. 243. Both lodges share a strong commitment to the values of Freemasonry, and it is through such exchanges that we foster not only a sense of unity but also a deeper understanding of our shared traditions, rituals, and ideals.

We thank Brother Alexandru Vlaston, Brother Adrian Badea, Worshipful Brother Ron Wainer, and all the members of Cavalerii Luminii Lodge No. 243 for their visit and the joyous occasion they helped create. We look forward to many more opportunities for fellowship, learning, and collaboration in the years to come.
