BIG BOOST TO MEMBERS OF THE POLYTECHNIC LODGE
The November meeting of the Polytechnic Lodge was a bumper affair with six Masons from other Lodges joining the membership of the Polytechnic Lodge together with two candidates.
The Worshipful Master, Wardens and Brethren of the Polytechnic Lodge were delighted to welcome into full membership of the Polytechnic Lodge (seated from left to right above) Brother Mehdi Saadian, Worshipful Brother John Turner, PPGSwdB (Herts), Brother Ken Crawley, Brother Dariush Moghtader, Brother Behzad Noorozi, and Brother Ian Wilkinson with two candidates at the same meeting (seated centre left and right), Brothers Jamel Nadarajan and Aldo Bregasi.
The Festive Board, taken in the Old Library at Charterhouse after the proceedings, was attended by 30 members and guests. The Worshipful Master, Worshipful Brother William J. Dadswell, LGR, LGCR said, “It has been many years since the Polytechnic Lodge has had such a large intake in just one meeting. I wish all of those who have joined us today many happy years with the Polytechnic Lodge and will watch you progress in the Lodge with keen interest. I am aware from the Secretary that there are more joining members in the pipeline and we all look forward to welcoming them into our numbers.”
Proposing the toast to the Joining Members, the Assistant Secretary, Worshipful Brother Michael Mulqueen said:-
“We are a friendly and progressive lodge who like to feel that there is more to Masonry than just the four annual meetings and our Lodge of Instruction. I am sure you will make many new and lasting friendships here.
Arriving not knowing all of us
I hope you were greeted as a friend,
welcomed as a comrade,
received like a dignitary
trusted as a confidante
and embraced as a Brother united with one heart.
Here’s a toast to all our differences,
a toast to common ground,
a toast to what we are seeking,
a toast to what we’ve found
to what brings us together,
to what sets us apart,
a toast to many different souls.”
